Pair Indicted in Theft of Jewelry From Manchester Home

Grand juries hand up indictments

Two Monmouth County men are free on bail as they await charges related to a Nov. 14 burglary in Manchester.

Michael A. DeAngelis, 20, of Howell and Phillip DeAngelis II, 23, of Freehold were indicted on burglary, theft and obstructing the administration of law charges last week by an Ocean County grand jury.

Authorities accuse the pair of breaking into a Champlain Street home and stealing more than $500 in jewelry. The men then interfered with a police probe into the home invasion, the indictment states.

Both were initially held in the Ocean County Jail but made bail in November.

  • Dennis Amend, 59, of Winchester Court on multiple charges of driving while suspended.

Authorities arrested Amend Sept. 12, 19 and 29 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while his driver's license was suspended. Amend also was charged with obstructing the administration of law.

Amend is free on $10,000 bail.

  • Matthew Fraser, 38, of Point Pleasant Beach on driving while suspended and drug possession charges.

Fraser was arrested Oct. 30 in the township and accused of operating a motor vehicle during a period of license suspension, the indictment states. He also was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana, as was Danielle Robertson, 35, of Manchester, the indictment states.

Robertson was released on a summons but Fraser is still held on $4,500 bail.
