Pine Lake Park Man Charged With Selling Pot

Daykwayn L. Morris was charged with one count each of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia

A 24-year-old Pine Lake Park man was charged Thursday with trying to sell marijuana, police said.

Daykwayn L. Morris was charged with one count each of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Thursday, the Manchester Township Investigations Bureau executed a court-authorized knock-and-announce search warrant on a Madison Avenue residence in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township. The month-long investigation had concentrated on the distribution of marijuana from that residence.

Morris was found to possess more than an ounce of marijuana that was individually packaged, as well as drug paraphernalia such as packaging materials and a scale.

Morris was transported to Ocean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail with a no 10 percent option.

Also assisting in the investigation were the Manchester Township Patrol Bureau and Ocean County Sheriff's Department K-9.
