Police Blotter: Criminal Mischief, Drug Possession Charges

Manchester's police activity between Oct. 10 and Oct. 14

Manchester issued the following charges between Oct. 10 and Oct. 14, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker.

  • On Oct. 10, John Sturm, 66, of Manchester, was charged with criminal mischief on Crocus Lane by Ptl. Shawn Cavalcante. Police said that Sturm was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
  • Jeffrey M. Hurley, a 19-year-old Manchester resident, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance on Oct. 11 on Route 70 west by Ptl. Peter Manco. Hurley was released pending a court date, police said. 
  • On Oct. 12, Robert Jenkins, 43, of Manchester, was charged with shoplifting at the Quick Chek on Route 571 by Ptl. John Decker. Jenkins was released pending court, according to police. 
  • Ashley Durkin, a 24-year-old from Toms River, was charged with criminal trespass at the Manchester Police Department headquarters on Colonial Drive by Detective Rich Jupinka. Durkin was released pending court, police said. 
  • Police reported two charges on Oct. 14. Nancy L. Bouza, 19, of Garwood, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance on Chilvers Avenue by Ptl. Adam Guker. Police said that Bouza was transferred to the Rosewood Park Police Department.
  • That same day, Amy L. Dopp, 24, of Toms River, was charged with aggravated assault at the Manchester Police Department headquarters by Detective Rich Jupinka. Police said Dopp was released pending court.
