Police Blotter: 4 Arrested on Drug Charges Last Week

Manchester police reported the charges from July 25 through July 27

Manchester police charged four individuals with drug possession last week, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker. 

  • On July 25, Ian Schanck, 19, of Manchester was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing on Delaware Avenue by Ptl. Robert Sharry. According to police, Schanck was released with a complaint summons.
  • On July 26, Michelle Schweighardt, a 33-year-old South Toms River resident, was charged with marijuana possession under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia near Fifth Avenue and Beechmont Street by Ptl. Peter Manco. Police said that Schweighardt was released with a complaint summons.
  • On July 27, 19-year-old Dean Curtis of Manchester was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and drug paraphernalia possession near First Avenue and Larchmont Street Ptl. Peter Manco. According to police, Curtis was released with a complaint summons
  • That same day, George Mercado, 19, of Asbury Park, was charged with marijuana possession under 50 grams, also near First Avenue and Larchmont Street by Ptl. Peter Manco. Police said he was released with a complaint summons.
