Police Blotter: Late October Charges

Charges from law enforcement came between Oct. 21 and Oct. 30

The following arrests and charges were reported by local law enforcement during the last week in October.

Friday, Oct. 21:

Detectives C. Vazquez and D. Dering of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department arrested John Ford, 42, of Rail Road Avenue in Lakehurst on an Ocean County Superior Court warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $8,275.51. The department reported that Ford was processed, paid a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department and was released.

Wednesday, Oct. 26:

Capt. Lisa Parker reported that Dennis Amend, a 59-year-old from Manchester, was charged with driving while intoxicated near the Manchester Commons by Ptl. Brian Collins. Parker said that Amend was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

Sunday, Oct. 30: 

Matthew Fraser, 38, of Pt. Pleasant Beach was charged with DWI on Pheasant Avenue in the Cedar Glen West area by Ptl. Chris Cerullo. According to Parker, Fraser was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
