Police Blotter: 5 Drug Charges Issued Last Week

Police reported that the arrests and charges were made between Nov. 21 and Nov. 25

Manchester police reported five drug arrests last week, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker. 

Monday, Nov. 21

Timothy Rogers, an 18-year-old township resident, was charged with drug possession in Pine Lake Park by Patrolmen Joseph Fastige and Brian Collins. Rogers was released pending a court date, Parker said.

A 42-year-old Toms River man, Patrick McElvey, was arrested and charged with drug possession along Route 571 near Cedar Road by Ptl. David Fusaro. McElvey was released pending a court date, Parker said.

Peter Magestic, 19, of Manchester, faces a drug possession charge after being stopped by Ptl. David Fusaro along Route 37 near Buckingham Drive. Parker said that Magestic was released pending a court date.

Thursday, Nov. 24

Matthew Rebelo, a 23-year-old from Toms River, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in the township's Pine Lake Park section by Ptl. Richard Conklin. Rebelo was released pending a court date, according to Parker. 

Friday, Nov. 25

Toms River resident Damien Hill, 27, was charged with drug possession after being stopped by Ptl. Robert Sharry along Route 571 and Quarry Road. Parker said that Hill was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
