Police Blotter: Assault and Obstruction Charges Reported

Law enforcement activity reported by Manchester officers last week

After issuing eight drug charges earlier in October, last week's Manchester police blotter was lighter with activity, according to a log of police activity released by Capt. Lisa Parker.

On Friday, Oct. 12, Michael D. Burgett, 60, of Manchester was charged with assault at 108 Lacey Rd., the Whiting Town Center shopping plaza, by Patrolman Richard Conklin. Police released Burgett with a summons, Parker said.

Manchester resident Ronald J. Hart, 25, was charged by Patrolman Brian Collins with obstruction on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Bacall Sq., a road off of Route 37. Parker said that Hart was released with a summons.

Police also reported seven warrant arrests last week. Of those, five were released after posting bail, one was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, and another was transferred to the custody of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, according to Parker.

The above charges are accusations made by police and are not an indication of guilt.

What about when you needed a job, who gave you one? With the Director gone work will start going to contractors again. Everyone will pay. Taxpayers and employees. Did you read the article he wrote? If you didn't maybe you should. You too, nobody special. Who hired you? You will be picking up trash real soon. Are you going to grieve that too?
