Police Blotter: Drug, Theft and Disorderly Conduct Charges

Manchester police activity during the first week of July

Police Department Patrolman Vincent Manco arrested and charged two township residents with drug-related offenses in the first week of July, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker. 

On Sunday, July 1, 46-year-old James A. Squirrell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by the officer along Route 571 near Commonwealth Boulevard. Squirrell was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, Parker said.

Days later on Tuesday, July 3, Manco charged 38-year-old Richard D. Charletta with possession of a controlled dangerous substance while on Route 571. Parker said that Charletta was released after posting bail.

Melissa L. Brown, 29, of Manchester was charged with disorderly conduct on Route 571 Patrolman Vincent DeRome and released with a summons, according to Parker.

Whiting resident Arrin S. Gatling, 22, was charged with motor vehicle theft at police department headquarters Patrolman Richard Mazza. Gatling was released with a summons, Parker said.

Toms River resident Susan M. Reed, 55, was charged with theft at Chesterfield Court by Patrolman Jason Wiener and was released with a summons, according to Parker.

Concrad L. Millward, an 18-year-old from Manchester, was charged with underage alcohol possession near the Ridgeway firehouse by Patrolman Anthony Iliadis. Parker said that Millward was released with a summons.

Thursday, July 5

Samantha L. Cannella, 24, of Toms River, was charged with theft and forgery at the Silverwoods retirement development by Detective Chris Hemhauser. Cannella was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, according to Parker.
