Police Blotter: Three Arrested on Warrants; DWI Charges Issued

Manchester police issued the charges between July 31 and Aug. 7.

Manchester police issued the following charges last week, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker.

  • Elijah Hinze, 20, of Jackson, was arrested on outstanding warrants by Patrolman Charles Brooks at the Heritage Minerals site on July 31. He was released pending a court date, according to police.
  • Also on July 31, Keith Walker, 22, of Whitehall, Pa., was arrested by Patrolman Theodore Cooke on Third Avenue in Pine Lake Park on outstanding warrants. He is housed in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, according to police.
  • Jalisa Matthews, 19, of Lakewood, was arrested on outstanding warrants on Aug. 3 by Patrolman Vincent Derome at the intersection of Routes 70 and 571. Matthews was released after posting bail, according to police.
  • Anthony Arater, 32, of Manchester, was charged with providing false information by Patrolman Dan Barker at the POW Park on Aug. 6. He was released pending a court appearance, according to police.
  • Leslie Larson, 50, of Brick, was charged with obstruction of justice in an incident on Commonwealth Boulevard in Pine Lake Park on Aug. 7 by Patrolman Christian Nazario and released pending a court appearance, according to police.

Two men were charged with driving under the influence:

  • Robert Harris, 29, of Toms River, was charged with driving under the influence by Patrolman Ian Bole after a traffic stop on Route 571 on Aug. 3. He was released pending a court appearance, according to police.
  • Dan Paynter jr., 20, of Whiting, was charged with driving under the influence during a stop near the intersection of routes 70 and 571 on Aug. 7 by Patrolman Christopher Cerrullo. He was released pending a court appearance, according to police.

The above charges are not an indication of guilt.
