Police Brief: Man Hit by Truck at Whiting WaWa
Pedestrian is a township public works employee
A Manchester public works employee suffered minor injuries after being struck by a pickup truck at the over the weekend.
Thomas Reistad, 65, of Whiting, was walking through the property when he was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck turning into a gas pump lane driven by 43-year-old Frank Pease of Lakehurst at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, said Capt. Lisa Parker.
Reistad complained of knee and elbow pain and was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment, according to Parker.

Office Ian Bole of the police department's Traffic Safety section is investigating the crash, Parker said.
