Police: Driver Possessed 59 Bags of Heroin in Lakehurst
Lakehurst police made two arrests July 15
last Friday night issued multiple drug charges to a Linden man after he allegedly was found in possession of 59 bags of heroin during a traffic stop in the borough.
Cailee Jackson, 20, of Lincoln Street in Linden, was driving a 2001 Buick Regal on Route 70 through Lakehurst at about 10:30 p.m. on July 15 when Sgt. Ronald Heinzman stopped the vehicle for a failure to use a turn signal.
According to a release by Chief of Police Eric Higgins, it was then discovered that Jackson was in possession of 59 bags of heroin.

Jackson faces multiple drug charges, including possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, drug possession with intent to distribute in a school zone and drug possession in a motor vehicle.
He was also charged with failure to signal and driving with a suspended license. The Essex County Sheriff's Department also had a "no bail" warrant for drug offenses, according to Higgins.

The Buick was seized by authorities for forfeiture, according to police.
Judge Damian Murray set Jackson's bail at $50,000 and he was taken to the Ocean County Correctional facility in Toms River.
A passenger in the vehicle, Najah Jackson, 22, of Grove Street in Irvington, was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and was released pending a court date, police said.
Lakehurst officers were assisted by Officer Ted Wielichoski from Ocean County Sheriff's Officeand and his K-9 Titan, Higgins said.
