Police: Man Injured After Car Crashes Into Home

Crash happened on Saturday in the township's Pine Lake Park section

A township man was hospitalized over the weekend after his pickup truck crashed into a home in Manchester's Pine Lake Park section.

A 2005 Dodge Dakota truck driven by Jonothel C. Robinson, 31, crashed into the home at 600 Beacon Avenue at about 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to a news release issued by Capt. Lisa Parker.

Robinson suffered lacerations and a possible head injury, police said, and was transported to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune in stable condition. Police did not report that anyone at the home was injured.

An inspector from the township's building inspector's office was called to assess the damage, which appeared to be to the home's front porch, police said.

Police were assisted at the scene by responders from the Manchester Township and Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Departments, and MONOC and Manchester Township Volunteer First Aid Squad paramedics, police said.

Ptl. Antonio Ellis from the police department's Traffic Safety Section is investigation the crash, according to police.
