Beckerville Road East Reopened Following Morning Crash

Crews replaced utility pole after single car crash Tuesday morning

A portion of Beckerville Road closed to eastbound traffic following a single car crash that downed a utility pole Tuesday morning has since reopened. 

The road was closed to through traffic from its intersection with Route 70 to Horicon Avenue following the 7 a.m. crash, according to Capt. Lisa Parker.

No injuries were reported in the crash and local residents still were able to access their homes as a Verizon crew replaced the impacted pole. The scene was cleared at about 12:30 p.m., Parker said.
