Squad presented its productivity report to the Township Council this week

Responders from the Manchester First Aid and Rescue Squad fielded 57 more calls for service in March than in February, according to data recently released by the organization.

Crews responded to 259 calls for service in March, up from 202 in February, said Publicity Officer Edward Lynch in the productivity report presented to  this week.

Those 259 calls required squad vehicles, which include ambulances and the First Responder Unit, to drive a total of 3,309 miles throughout the nearly 83 square mile township. Responders spent 626 man hours tending to calls, according to Lynch.
