Resident Indicted on Charges of Stealing From Wine World
Whiting woman facing third-degree theft charge
A Whiting woman has been indicted in connection with a series of alleged thefts from a township liquor store.
An Ocean County grand jury returned an indictment Oct. 11 against Sherry D. Jefferson for allegedly stealing cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes from the in Whiting from March 16 to April 12. She faces one third-degree theft charge.
Jefferson, whose alleged thefts totaled more than $500, posted $5,000 bail on June 14.
