Man Badly Injured In Manchester When Motorcycle and Car Collide On Route 70

Crash causes traffic delays for several hours on Route 70

A Riverside man was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center after his Harley Davidson motorcyle and a 2006 Lexus collided on Route 70 today, Manchester Capt. Lisa Parker said.

Kevin McCloskey, 38, was traveling eastbound on Route 70 near Roosevelt City Road at 1:35 p.m. when his vehicle and a car driven by Linda Kreyling, 69, Clifton, collided. Kreyling was traveling westbound on Route 70, Parker said.

McCloskey was flown to Jersey Shore by MONOC medi-vac personnel after the crash, after he was treated at the scene by Quality Medical Transport and MONOC paramedics, she said.

Kreyling and her two passengers, Phillip Dolcemascolo, 70, also of Clifton, and Marion Dolcemascolo, 91, Berkeley Township, refused medical treatment at the scene, Parker said.

Several other motorcyclists riding with McCloskey at the time of the crash who were not involved, police said.

The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Paul Bachovchin of the police department's Traffic Safety Section. The Manchester Township Police Patrol Division, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department'sCriminal Investigation Unit, The state Department of Transportation Traffic Diversion Unit and the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department also assisted.

The crash caused traffic delays on Route 70 for several hours, police said.
