Rowan Student From Manchester Among 4 Charged in Drug Raid

Glassboro Police recovered large amounts of LSD, MDMA and almost $30,000 in cash.

Four 19-year-olds were charged Friday morning after police discovered about 100 doses of LSD, about three-quarters of a pound of MDMA, under 50 grams of marijuana, paraphernalia and $28,942 in cash in a safe in a dorm room on the campus at Rowan University, nj.com reports.

The street value of the LSD is about $2,000, and the value of the MDMA is about $30,000, according to the report.

According to the report, the four charged were:

  • Rowan student Brian M. Taylor, of Manchester, charged with possession with intent to distribute LSD, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute MDMA and three counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS in a school zone;
  • Rowan student Brian Bal, of Bogota, charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of paraphernalia;
  • Kayla Mehalick, of Middletown, charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams; and
  • Daniel Luzniak, of Pompton Lakes, charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.

Taylor was jailed in Gloucester County jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, according to the report. The other three were issued summonses.

The arrests were made just before 7 a.m. by Glassboro Police, following a lengthy investigation, according to the report. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with Rowan University and Pitman police departments.

what a shame! to flush away a chance at a good education! the kids just dont realize what effects this will have on their future. good luck with your low paying no future job!

Guess their parents can't be too proud anymore saying my kid attends college. Be expelled now from college, plus they get prison it wasn't using drugs its dealing drugs, 19 years old = adult. Mom and Dad has to fork over a lot of money for lawyers now.
