Satellite Utility Office, Drop Boxes Shift for Western Service Area
Manchester officials said they're consolidating operations to save on costs.
Residents covered by Manchester’s Western Service Area water and sewer service will have to make alternate plans for paying water, sewer and tax bills, after the township closed down both its satellite office and widespread drop boxes as of this week.
Following the closure of the Crestwood Village Shopping Center office and associated drop boxes—all for financial reasons, as costs were prohibitive, officials said—the township will now accept payments at a new drop box at the Manchester Police Annex in the Whiting Town Center at 108 Lacey Road.
Staff from the township’s collections office will also have in-person hours at the police annex on Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and noon, both for in-person payments and to answer questions about utility and tax bills.
