Police were able to locate Stevens on the 800 block of Maple Street, about a half mile from the restaurant. Stevens was taken into custody by police, who found that he had three outstanding arrest warrants for shoplifting issued by Lakehurst, Howell and Brick authorities totaling $1,447, according to Heinzman.

Stevens was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River on $2,500 bail set by borough municipal court Judge Damian Murray, the sergeant said.
