Surveillance Tape Shows Woman Stealing Six-Pack From Lakehurst Liquor Store
Four cans left when police pull over pick-up truck
A Whiting woman was charged with shoplifting at the Roger Wilco's liquor store, Route 70 in Lakehurst, on Saturday.
Lakehurst Police were dispatched to the store for a report of a female that left in a truck without paying for beer, said Police Sergeant Ronald Heinzman in a prepared news release.
After reviewing the store video, Patti Stewart, 54, can clearly be seen looking to see where the clerk was, exiting the store quickly with a six pack of beer and entering a pick-up truck in the parking lot, according to Heinzman.

The truck was stopped a short time later by Officer Jeffrey Johnson and Stewart was taken into custody. Two of the beers had already been consumed.
Stewart was processed and released on a shoplifting complaint/summons pending Municipal Court.
