Suspect In Two Manchester Robberies Found Hiding In Manahawkin House

Nicholas Graff lodged in Ocean County Jail in Toms River, in lieu of $150,000 cash bail

Police have arrested a 20-year-old Manchester man wanted in two March robberies hiding in a home in the Ocean Acres section of Stafford Township.

Nicholas Graff, 20, of Gladstone Street in Manchester’s Pine Lake Park section, was arrested at approximately 7:30 pm Tuesday night, Capt. Lisa Parker said.

Graff was wanted by Manchester Township Police after Detective Adam Emmons identified him through surveillance video burglarizing the Jersey Gas, TC & Sons Auto Repair and Krauser’s convenience store in Whiting on March 24.

Graff was already out on $75,000 bail at the time of the latest arrest. He was arrested in January 2014 on burglary and unlawful possession of a handgun charges, she said

Members of the Stafford Township Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Graff without incident when it was learned he was hiding in the Ocean Acres residence, Parker said.

Graff was transported to Manchester Township Police headquarters after his arrest, where he was turned over to Emmons and Detective Chris Hemhauser, she said.

Graff was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. His bail was set at $150,000, with no ten percent option. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in default of bail.
