Toms River Man Stole Whiting Woman's Identity, Police Say

Christopher Lynch faces a slew of charges in a series of alleged incidents.

A Toms River man who stole a Whiting woman's identity faces multiple charges after being arrested in Berkeley Township Tuesday, Manchester Township Police said.

Christopher Lynch, 47, had been living with the victim for several months before she reported him to police on Nov. 17 for stealing her debit card and racking up more than $3,000 in charges, police said.

The debit card theft wasn't Lynch's only offense, police said. An investigation by Manchester officers Paul Bachovchin and Kyle Rickvalsky uncovered the fact he'd also stolen and forged the victim's name on several checks, which he later cashed, police said.
