Traffic Delays Likely for Lakehurst 100th Celebration

Union Avenue will be closed for a period of time, and side-street parking should be heavy, police said.

Be prepared for a few hours of traffic delays as the Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Company celebrates its 100th anniversary Saturday, Lakehurst Police warned.

Union Avenue will be completely shut down for about an hour, starting at noon, as the 100th anniversary parade moves through town.

Parking is also likely to be much heavier than usual on Chestnut, Willow, Poplar, Myrtle and Maple streets, police said.

Sporadic delays are possible through town from noon until 6 p.m., during the run of the anniversary events, police said.
