Vehicle Overturns In Route 70 Crash; Two Hospitalized

Two people were hospitalized when a car overturned Sunday on Route 70, police said.

At approximately 6:39 p.m., Patrol Officer Arthur Cronk discovered an overturned Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of State Highway 70 and County Route 571, police said.

Further investigation revealed that the 2008 Jeep Wrangler, perated by Chelsea B. Snyder, 18, of Pemberton, had been traveling Route 70 westbound near the intersection of CR 571 when a 2010 Toyota Camry, operated by Kayla M. Lane, 21, of Lawrenceville, attempted to turn left from SH 70 East onto CR 571 causing the collision.      

As a result of the crash, the driver and passenger of the Jeep, 20-year-old Curtis R. Oakerson were transported to Kimball Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The driver and passenger of the Toyota, 21-year-old Christopher Lane, did not sustain injuries.

Also assisting at the scene were the Manchester and Ridgeway Fire Departments along with Manchester First Aid.  Traffic was diverted in the area for about an hour during the investigation.  This crash is being investigated by Special Police Officer II Casey Chant and Ptl. Christian Nazario of the Manchester Township Police Patrol Bureau.
