UPDATE: Parkway Speed Restriction Increased to 45 MPH
The speed limit on the Turnpike is still 45 miles an hour

A winter storm system moving through New Jersey has resulted in speed restrictions being put in place on the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
As of 8 a.m., there's a speed restriction in place on the entire length of the New Jersey Turnpike in both directions from the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Pennsville to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph due to snow related activity.
As of 11:12 a.m., there's a speed restriction in place on the Garden State Parkway in both directions from Southern Terminus/CR 109 in Cape May to New York State Line in Montvale 45 miles per hour due to roadway conditions.
