Whiting Woman Indicted on Credit Card Fraud Charges

Resident allegedly used four different stolen cards

A Whiting woman has been indicted by an Ocean County grand jury on charges of using several stolen credit cards to obtain items.

Kathleen Herald of Bennington Lane used the credit cards of four people from October 2010 to May 2011 and obtained goods worth more than $500, the indictment states.

Herald allegedly first used someone else's card on Oct. 13, 2010, and then used another's card on Nov. 10, 2010. The indictment states she then used a stolen credit card on Jan. 19 and later on April 28.

She is charged with four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, all third-degree crimes. Herald also faces a third-degree theft by deception charge.

She was released from custody on her own recognizance on April 18.
