2012 Summer Concert Fest Dates Set

Independence Day celebration among the dates

The 2012 summer Concert Fest dates and acts have been decided.

Four events will be held this summer at Harry Wright Lake in Whiting, beginning on Saturday, June 30, with Manchester's Independence Day Celebration. Food vendors, children's rides and music by the Journey tribute band Voyage and Jersey Sound will mark the event, which will be capped off with a fireworks presentation.

The cost for the concert series, which was booked through a contract with LaGuardia and Associates, is $22,750, according to a resolution passed by the township council Monday. A deposit of $6,750 is due by May 1 and the township's chief financial officer certifies that the funding is available, the resolution states.
