Lakehurst Council Approves 2012 Meeting Dates

Among the items tended to at the Jan. 1 was the approval of its 2012 meeting schedule. 

Meetings typically are scheuled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month at the borough's community center on Center Street, though July, August and November each will have one session. Next year's reorganization meeting was approved for 12 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2013.

Meetings may be canceled "due to lack of quorum, illness, weather conditions, lack of agenda items, or by direction of the mayor with additional meetings being called as required," the scheduling resolution states.

The resolution asks that should a member of the public wish to discuss a matter with the council at a meeting that they bring it to the attention of the clerk prior to the meeting so that research can be completed, though this procedure is not required.
