These acts will be funded through sponsorship, according to the resolutions. As of now, about $4,000 in sponsorship money has been received, said township clerk Sabina Skibo.

With about three months time until payments are due to the performers, township CFO Diane Lapp said that sponsorships should cover the costs.

"We anticipate receiving the sponsorship funds," she said. If sponsorship money falls short, money will be used from the Recreation Department general fund.

Last month, the council approved a $22,750 contract with LaGuardia and Associates for five Summer Fest performances — Separate Ways, Jersey Sound, The Infernos, The Duprees, and Kenny Vance and the Planotones.

Townsqaure Media radio station WOBM will provide recorded promotions and have a presence at each Summer Fest concert, according to another resolution passed by the council.
