Traffic Alert: Saturday Lakehurst Bike Race Route

Borough streets will be closed for the race

Some Lakehurst streets will be closed on Saturday as bicyclists race through the borough's downtown for the fifth annual Zeppelin Criterium. 

Portions of Elm, Pine, Lake and Church Streets, as well as a section of Union Avenue will be used for the men's and women's races, which begin at 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Pine and Orchard Streets. 

Residents who need to exit their property by vehicle are asked to call the for assistance, according to the Borough Council. The department can be reached by calling 732-657-7812.

Races range from 15 to 25 miles. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded, according to the event flyer
