Municipal, School Meetings Slated for March 1

Manchester BOE and Lakehurst Borough Council have Thursday meetings

members in Manchester will vote on approving the 2012-13 tentative school budget, while Lakehurst council members will be asked to approve the appointment of a part-time police officer when these bodies hold meetings Thursday night. 

Manchester board members will meet at 6 p.m. in the media center of for the special meeting, which officials expect will last just a few minutes. A full presentation of the budget is scheduled for March 28.

At 7:30 p.m. in Lakehurst, will consider approving an agreement for pre-employment screenings of public works and decide whether to oppose state legislation which would mandate municipalities add fluoride to water, among other issues.

Prior to the council's 7:30 p.m. start at the community center on Center Street, Lakehurst's Redevelopment Agency will meet in the same location at 7 p.m. The full council meeting agenda is available online.
