Manchester Council Members Fire Zsoldos In Unanimous Vote, Report Says

Former township business administrator arrested recently for cocaine possession

Manchester Township’s police chief will serve as the acting township business administrator — but with no increase in pay — replacing the former administrator who was fired after she was charged with buying drugs while in a township vehicle, according to a report in the Asbury Park Press.

Manchester Police Chief Brian J. Klimakowski, also the township public safety director, will now serve as the acting township business administrator. He earned an annual salary of $168,025 in 2012, according to records.

Township officials were cautious in discussing the personnel decisions at the May 12 meeting, which were announced during a vote on a resolution to approve Klimakowski’s appointment. The resolution passed unanimously.
