Township Document Copy Fees Amended

Fees changed to come in line with state, council says

The fees for obtaining public documents in Manchester have changed.

Changes to the township code outlining fees were made to bring them in line with standard state rates, said council president Craig Wallis. The council approved the amendments at its regular meeting last week.

Any CD or DVD now costs $1, according to the resolution. The township previously charged $50 for a copy or review of an ICOP video, copy of dispatch tapes or copy of an electronic audio or video recording.

Photocopies now cost $.05 per page for 8.5 by 11 inch paper, and $.07 for 8.5 by 14 inch paper. 

A reproduction of meeting CDs and tapes has been reduced from $20 to $1.

Copies of a tax bill have changed from $5 total to $.05 per page. The same change was made to municipal tax record files. 

In some cases tax maps have moved from a flat fee to a per page fee. A small set of tax maps has been reduced from $75 to $35, and a large set was reduced from $200 to $140. 

Geographic information system survey maps have changed from a flat fee depending on the map's size to a per page fee ranging from $.10 to $1.

The township's master plan is available for purchase at $.05 per page. The plan, which is available as a free PDF file download on the township, is 245 page. A copy of the master plan previously cost $100. Revisions to the plan are available at $.05 per page, as opposed to the $12 flat fee. 

The township code book has been reduced from $300 to $173 or the current actual cost. Updates to the code used to cost $50 but will now cost $75 or current actual cost. Manchester has its township code available for search online.
