To accommodate ongoing construction on the GSP bridges over the state highway at this location, NJTA’s contractor, Earle Asphalt Company, is scheduled to close the ramp from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning on both Tuesday night, August 27 and Wednesday night, August 28.

·         Route 70 eastbound motorists destined for the Garden State Parkway northbound will be directed to continue approximately 1.5 miles to make a left turn onto Cedar Bridge Avenue and utilize the Interchange 89 on-ramp to the GSP from Cedar Bridge Avenue.

The NJTA is reconstructing the bridges over Route 70 as part of a $70 million contract to widen the GSP to restore full roadway shoulders between milepost 83 and milepost 90 in Ocean County. Construction began at the bridges over Route 70 in February and is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
