Special Thursday Zoning Board Meeting Set for STS, Dunkin Donuts Application

STS and Dunkin Donuts planned for former Whiting Exxon site

To expedite its hearing process, Manchester's Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a special meeting Thursday night to consider the application for a proposed STS Tire and Auto Center and Dunkin Donuts in Whiting.

The hearing for the Midland Park-based Whiting Realty Partners, LLC, project will begin at 7 p.m. in the township's courtroom, said board secretary Darlene Garcia.

A use variance, as well as preliminary and final site plan approval for the proposed project, which would be constructed at the former Exxon gas station site on the corner of Routes 70 and 539, will be voted on by the board.

The applicant must pay a special meeting fee of $2,000, Garcia said. Testimony may be lengthy, and with the proposed skilled nursing facility taking up the majority of allotted time at most board meetings, a special meeting is hoped to help the application be heard in a timely manner.

The meeting's agenda is available online.
