"The Lorax" is coming to Lakehurst as the first outdoor movie night held at Lake Horicon on Friday.
Sponsored by the borough's Youth and Recreation Committee and under the direction of Councilman Ed Seaman, the 2012 film based on the Dr. Seuss classic children's book will be shown on a big screen at 7 p.m.
Admittance to the film is free. Hot dogs, drinks and popcorn will be available for purchase at $1 each.
"Bring you beach chairs, blankets and family to the movies," Mayor Harry Robbins said when he wrote about the movie night in a recent mayor's letter.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low near 55 degrees. Organizers have set a rain date of Saturday, Oct. 6, just in case.
Children attending alone must complete a permission slip, which is available in this article's media box. More information is available by calling 732-657-4141.
