Charity Basketball Game Slated for Friday Evening

Game will benefit a MTHS student battling leukemia

Players from the Hawks boys varsity basketball team will square off against faculty for a worthy cause Friday evening. 

A charity basketball game planned for 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium will benefit the family of Trevor Martin, a sophomore basketball player who was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in February. 

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Gift baskets, raffles and refreshments will be on-hand.

The community has rallied behind the Martins before — a March Madness game earlier this month also went to support the family. 

The family of Justine Applegate, a high school student who had a double lung transplant in February, also .
