Education Foundational Reschedules Golf Outing Fundraiser

Thunderstorm threat forced postponement; new date set for July

A new date has been announced for the 2012 Manchester Township Educational Foundation golf outing fundraiser.

Held at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood, organizers have settled on Thursday, July 12, as the fundraiser's new date.

"We hope that you can join us on the new date for a full day of golf, or later in the evening for our dinner and mini-auction," said foundation secretary Marge Camposano in a statement.

Organizers postponed the May 21 outing when thunderstorms threatened the area. Sponsorship information is available on the MTEF website

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 12 p.m. and a 1 p.m. tee off. An awards dinner begins at 7 p.m. Those registered for the original May date are asked to contact the foundation — by phone at 732-859-8331 or email at info@mtef4kids.org — to confirm attendance for the new date.

The nonprofit foundation is dedicated to improving education in the district, according to Camposano.

"Proceeds from the golf outing benefit MTEF’s Classroom Mini-Grant Program, technology items for the schools, and more," she said.
