Fundraiser was postponed from May to July after threat of storms
Organizers of the 2012 Manchester Township Educational Foundation Golf Outing called the fourth annual event which raised more than $19,000 a "rousing success."
The fundraiser, which brings in money to "benefit the educational experiences of Manchester Township students through donation of technology items, classroom mini-grants and more," according to foundation secretary Marge Camposano, was held in July at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood.
Funds were raised through donations and registrations from the over 80 golfers and sponsors of the nonproft organization's event. Money is used to purchase supplies and equipment that is not covered in the school budget, Camposano said in a statement.
