Cancer Awareness Fair

The Manchester branch library will be joining forces with Community Medical Center for a Cancer Awareness Fair. Attendees will be able to meet healthcare professionals, organizations and local businesses from throughout Ocean County that support the cancer initiative of prevention, care and treatment. They will provide information on early detection and prevention, heighten awareness and offer support.

 Representatives from Community Medical Center will be on hand to sign people up for free cancer screenings. Other participants include the American Cancer Society, Hospice and Home Care, Jacqueline Wilentz Breast Center, the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, Merle Norman (wigs and cosmetics), NJ Health (skin cancer), Reiki practitioners, Support Group for Prostate, therapy dogs and Wellness Community .

Refreshments will be served, and light jazz music will be provided by guitarist Derek Pierre. There will also be drawings and giveaways!
