High School Accepting Dress Donations Through Friday

Students in need of assistance can pick up dresses in late April

Manchester Township High School's classes of 2011 and 2012 are helping to defer the sometimes high cost of formal wear by accepting dress donations for Cinderella's Closet through Friday.

As part of the nonprofit initiative, dresses in "practically new" or "excellent condition" can be brought to room 328 or the guidance department in the high school, according to a school district press release.

The senior and junior classes are asking students to reach out to family and friends who may have unneeded but well-preserved dresses to donate. Businesses interested in contributing a monetary or clothing donation can contact teacher Danielle Fashauer through email.

Those students interested in obtaining a dress for their junior or senior prom from Cinderella's Closet can make an appointment by filling out an appointment form and returning it to the high school's guidance department.

According to the appointment form, Cinderella's Closet is based on the honor system, meaning no financial information is asked of students. There is no cost for items, though it is asked that participants consider donating their dress back after the dance.
