Manchester Schools Open Monday

Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday

Manchester schools will reopen on Monday, the district announced.

Schools were closed all last week after most buildings lost power after Hurricane Sandy struck. The buildings appear to be in good condition, Superintendent of Schools David Trethaway has said.

The decision to reopen schools was met with mixed opinion on the district's Facebook page. Some said that it is good for children to return to a routine, while others said that downed power lines in the township could be a safety issue.
