Manchester Students Assessed in State School Report Card

NJ Department of Education data shows Manchester has fewer students than state average in AP classes, more suspensions

The latest assessment from the NJ Department of Education shows that while Manchester Township High School data falls in line with state averages in most areas, the district lagged in the number of students enrolled in advanced placement classes during the 2009-10 school year and had double the amount of suspensions when compared to the state average.

The report card, released Tuesday, showed that 10 percent of Manchester Township High School students participated in advanced placement courses, compared to 19.9 percent statewide.

The report also found that 29 percent of students were suspended from the school during the year in 2009-10, compared to the state average of 14 percent. Manchester's suspension rate decreased from 32 percent the year prior.
