Manchester Township High School's Girls Bowling Team Takes Top Honors

The Manchester Township Board of Education recently honored the High School Girls Bowling Team at the April 24 meeting for their achievement as NJSIAA State Champions this season, according to the district website.

The team took the title for the third time in six years. They have been Group II Champions for the past 6 years and South Jersey Sectional Champions for 8 years. They are also B-South Champions, undefeated in their division. In addition, Coach Mike McCrae was named Coach of the Year for the third time in nine years.

  • Abigail Hulse finished 2nd at the Snowball Classic Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
  • Kaitlyn Kettman rolled a 299 game in the South Jersey Singles Classic.
  • Stephanie Tremper rolled a 236 game, the highest for the day, at the State Group Finals.
  • Julia Ott was named a Bowler to Watch by the Star-Ledger in pre-season and Bowler of the Week later in the season. She won the South Jersey Singles Classic for the 2nd year in a row. She was named 2nd Team All-Shore by the Asbury Park Press and 1st Team All South Jersey and 2nd Team All State by the Star Ledger.
  • Kelsey Krumeich was named 3rd Team All-Shore by the Asbury Park Press and 3rd Team All South Jersey by the Star Ledger.
The team received embroidered jackets this year to commemorate their accomplishments.
