School administrators will address the mold found last week at the township's middle school with parents and staff on Monday, Superintendent David Trethaway said.

Two meetings are scheduled for parents and staff at either 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. on Aug. 20 in the auditorium, at which time school officials will address the situation, according to Trethaway.

Additionally, high school parents and staff are invited to meetings at either 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. Tuesday at the high school auditorium.

Testing and cleanup companies visited the school, located on Route 571, on Aug. 9 to inspect the building after staff noticed "visible signs of mold" in some first floor sections of the building, Trethaway said last week.

Staff were removed from the building after mold was found and TTI Environmental and Servpro restoration were brought in to complete a consultation, Trethaway said.

The school has had some spot cases of mold in the past, Trethaway said last week, but the current issue is apparent "in several spots."

The entire school was tested over last weekend, as the superintendent said that safety for students and staff must be ensured.

"We're going to make sure everything is cleared before we open the school," he said at the time. "With students and staff and everybody, we've got to be sure that it is 100 percent safe."
