Manchester Little Leaguers Heading to State Tournament

Manchester Little League’s 14-year-old All Star team is heading to the state tournament tonight, the first team in the township’s 50-year baseball history to do so.

The team, coached by Ed Carney, Pat Barry and Henry Wernoch, is set to face off against Parsippany Troy East in Tinton Falls, according to a WOBM report.

If Manchester wins the four-team state tournament they would advance to the East Regionals in Freehold, according to the report. The next stop after that would be the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.
