Manchester Little League’s 14-year-old All-Star team has clinched the state championship with an 11-4 win.

The team plays next Saturday against Maine to open the regionals.

With a Thursday night 2-1 win against West Deptford, Manchester was poised to face the winner of Friday night's Par-Troy/West Deptford game for the title, according to team parent Bob Migliaccio.

The team was the first in the township’s 50-year baseball history to play for the title in the state tournament. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday night.

If Manchester was to win the four-team state tournament, they were to advance to the East Regionals in Freehold, according to a WOBM report. The next stop after that would be the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.

The complete roster of Manchester players is available on the WOMB report
