Manchester Township Football Scores First Win of 2013
The Hawks stormed back after trailing at the half against Point Pleasant Boro.
In a battle between winless Point Pleasant Boro and winless Manchester Township Friday night, someone was walking home with their first win of the football season.
It took a few comeback efforts, but on Homecoming Night, the W belonged to the Hawks.
Quarterback Devin Tomei threw for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score to Kashaun Barnes, and ran for another, and Amani Richardson broke it open with a 57-yard score in the second half as the Hawks stormed back from a 17-14 halftime deficit to beat Point Boro, 34-17.

Brian Golad had a key second-half play on defense, forcing a fumble that would lead to the Hawks getting the go-ahead score.
Manchester is off next week, but travels to 1-4 Pinelands Nov. 2 with a chance at a second win—Pinelands’ only victory was a 16-13 win, also over Point Boro.
