Lake Horicon Park
Located on the corner of Union Avenue and Lake Street just blocks from downtown Lakehurst, Lake Horicon Park offers locals a beach right in their backyards. A lifeguard monitors swimmers from July 19 through Sept. 1. Those looking for a quiet place to walk or jog can utilize the park's trails. Each Fourth of July, the borough hosts a fireworks display at Lake Horicon, packing the beach with vendors and awed onlookers.
In 2012, Patch locals selected Lake Horicon Park in Lakehurst as their favorite outdoor spot. Harry Wright Lake in Whiting came in a close second.
