Buddy Valastro at the opening of the Carlo's Bake Shop on Market Street in Morristown.
Eleanor July 10, 2014 at 05:56 am
Baking is harder than cooking and baking stuff that tastes good is not easy. It is why there is aRead More big difference between the tasteless scones at a chain coffee shop and the great ones at the Barefoot Market - used to be WHos on First. But Valastro is right that you have to bake on the premises - even Dunkin Donuts does that. Unless they are loaded up with preservatives, baked goods don't ship well.
suzanne July 10, 2014 at 07:18 am
I remember Carlo's Italian bakery in the back streets of Hoboken, in the early yrs. That was greatRead More pastry..Family run...& reasonable. Now it's a commercial business with prices out of this world. & Not worth it! There are so many local bakeries & markets that give quality & without breaking your bank.
Amanda July 10, 2014 at 07:53 am
Coming from someone who's own baked goods are nothing to write home about - I wouldn't take anythingRead More Buddy has to say. Perhaps he should spend more time trying to make better flavored items and less time trying to be a celebrity. Ive had better tasting baked goods from ShopRite & Stop & Shop. His stuff is horrible.

Raptor: Do you even know what your talking about? You have no idea what 250 decimals will do. I haveRead More dealt with underwater demolition in a capacity using plastic caps to remove props from naval ships. These caps are used around the shaft to move the prop back 1" at a time, this is done underwater at 30-40ft depending on what size vessel, the decimals measured at 1ft below the surface is 145 decimals enough to blow your ear drums out. The impact on your body feels like a sledge hammer hit you and we are at the surface when detonation occurs. If you are 10ft under, your dead. The deeper you go, the greater the impulse waves get, fire a small range missile into the Ocean and see how much water is moved when detonation occurs, you have to witness to understand. The ocean floor is fragile made up of many layers of sand, shale and rock 11,000 ft is definitely getting into the shelf or vault area of the floor, 250 decimals don't sound like a lot, but doing it repeatedly every 5 minutes 24 hours a day. Is like taking a rubber mallet and hitting someone in the head every 5 minutes, you may not die at first but eventually brain injury will happen and death will occur. Noise and vibrations travel underwater faster then on land.
Chris July 9, 2014 at 10:36 pm

Ken Lewis July 10, 2014 at 12:50 am
The thing I find interesting is women are dead set against people that smoke but the major majorityRead More of them drink regularly. I suppose they justify it because booze won't give them lung cancer. So who cares about liver cancer, hardening of the arteries, heart disease, kidney failure, abdominal and bowel cancer and a permanent lose of thousands of brain cells with each drink. I have yet to see one report of a driver under the influence of nicotine killing anyone while driving. So heres lookin at ya drink up and put that cigarette out before ya kill somebody with second hand smoke and just use a car.
